The awards evening was held on Saturday 3rd May where Covo thanked all the back room staff and players for a good effort despite being relegated but finishing with 2 more points then last season which saw us finish safe at 16th. The awards however were as follows:

Saturday was a very difficult day to handle,we knew all we could do was to win our final league game and hope other results went our way to avoid relegation to the Ryman North division one.Well we did manage to win our game 2-1 and collect 3 points making our total to 50 points for the season,in any other league this amount would of been plenty to remain in our division,in fact this was 2 more points than we achieved last season when we finished 17th.But due to the tightness of our league 50 points was not going to be enough this time around.At this time of year you look back at games where you could of taken more points,and in our case there were plenty of occasions when if we had only scored when we were on top or not conceded late in games we would not have been in this position.But the bottom line is at important times in games we were not good enough thats why we have been relegated and no other reason.One of the reasons behind this was my own failure to react in a certain way that was required at those times perhaps because of my coaching backround i would always look for a constructive way of improving our mistakes instead of letting players know what i felt (if you know what i mean). I have learnt a lot since taking over in October, but playing in the Ryman Premier League is hard place learn there are no easy games.Hopefully i can keep this squad of players together as i know we would be a force to be reckoned with next season .Finally i would like to thank so many people it would be easier if you come to our presentation on saturday at the club to hear my full list of thankyous Cheers Covo
