East Thurrock United are launching their Football in the community scheme on Thursday 3th August. The aim is to encourage children, aged from 5 upwards from all over the Borough to come to Rookery Hill for Coaching sessions from 5.30-7.00pm. The sessions are £5 each. All sessions will be taken taken by qualified Coaches and will run throughout the year on every Thursday evening. Parents will have the chance to watch the sessions or relax in the bar with a drink.

Q. How do I get to East Thurrock's Ground?
A. From Grays, Aveley, South Ockendon, Tilbury, East Tilbury travel down the A13 towards Southend, take A1014 signposted for Corringham, Horndon on the Hill, at the top of the slip road go across the top of the A13 and down the dual carridgeway towards Coryton. Go straight over the roundabout and continue on dual carridgeway through a set of lights. As the road bears right you will see the Floodlights in front of you. Take the slip road on the left signposted Corringham and ground entrance is 50 yards on the left.
From Basildon, Pitsea travel down to the 5 Bells roundabout and go past the car dealers onto the second rounabout. Take first exit towards one tree hill. At roundabout with turn left and follow road for approx 1.5 miles until you come to a church in front of you. The ground is on your right and entrance is 30 yards past Church.
Q. What will I have to bring with me?
A. The weather at the moment is unpredictable, so I would certainly bring a sweatshirt and a rain proof jacket. A few people have asked about football boots, but training shoes will be fine at the moment especially as some of the children are starting football for the first time. One thing I would advise is for some insect repellant as there are a few mosquitos about at this time of the afternoon.

A. No East Thurrock will supply all the footballs and they are all sized to match your childrens age.

A. No child will be allowed to leave alone, we are training with the First Team squad after so your child be be with our staff until you arrive.
